Kajaani Gymnastics is a certified Tähtiseura (Star Club) and is proudly part of this Finnish Olympic Committee’s quality program, serving the Kainuu region of Finland since 2014 (formerly known as Sinettiseura). The club is founded on September 7, 2010. The club provides high-quality recreational gymnastics and activities for all ages – from young children to seniors – with over 700 members annually. Competitive training in Aerobic Gymnastics is also offered, supporting athletes from beginner to elite levels.

Kajaani Gymnastics is a member of the Finnish Gymnastics Federation (Suomen Voimisteluliitto), Kainuun Liikunta, and the Finnish Coaches Association (Suomen Valmentajat). The club is supported by around 30 trained instructors and coaches, with three full-time staff members.

Since February 2012, the club has operated in a 550 m² dedicated gymnastics facility at Kettukalliontie 11, Kajaani. The gym is well-equipped with official Aerobic Gymnastics flooring (FIG approved), gymnastics floor, practice equipment, sound systems, as well as kitchen, locker rooms, and shower facilities. In addition to its main venue, training sessions are held at multiple locations in Kajaani, Paltamo, Sotkamo and in other Kainuu regions. In 2025, the club will expand its reach through the VAUHTI Gymnastics School Tour, bringing activities to Suomussalmi, Hyrynsalmi, Ristijärvi, Puolanka, and Kuhmo.

Our mission is to offer accessible, diverse, and high-quality opportunities for everyone to engage in gymnastics and club activities within a vibrant and inclusive community. We aim to promote lifelong physical activity and healthy lifestyles, especially among children, youth, and families. All instructors are trained through the Finnish Gymnastics Federation’s educational system.

Kajaani Gymnastics fosters a positive and supportive environment, where every individual can find their place – as a participant, volunteer, or part of our broader support network. Our vision is to be a leading and successful gymnastics club in the region, recognized for high-quality coaching, strong community spirit, and versatile expertise from recreational levels to elite sports. We are a respected partner and an attractive employer.

Our core values guide our daily operations and leadership:

  • Equality
  • Openness
  • Positivity
  • Well-being

Kajaani Gymnastics is proud to be part of the Finnish Olympic Committee’s Tähtiseura quality program (formerly Sinettiseura since 2014). We have been awarded the Star mark for children and youth activities, affirming that our club offers a safe, encouraging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young gymnasts. As part of this national network, we continuously learn, improve, and share best practices. In a Star Club, everyone has the opportunity to enjoy sports in their own way – in good company.
